Manufactured Home Sizing Tool

ENERGY STAR & HUD Standard equipment sizing guidelines

⚠️ Avoid Oversizing Equipment

Oversized HVAC equipment cycles on/off frequently, shortening equipment life, lowering efficiency, increasing power bills, and causing moisture problems. Use this tool to properly size equipment for manufactured homes.

How to Use This Tool

  1. Select the state and county where the home will be installed
  2. Enter the conditioned floor area of the home in square feet
  3. Select the home type (ENERGY STAR or HUD Standard)
  4. Click "Calculate Tonnage" to get your recommendation
  5. Always verify your design by test and balance after installation

Phoenix-area homes typically use Sizing Group 70

Enter the total conditioned living space (length × width)

ENERGY STAR homes are 30% more efficient and typically require less cooling capacity

Recommended Tonnage
0
Important: This is a guideline only. Always verify by test and balance. Install dampers as needed. If duct run exceeds 25' or has excessive transitions, consider increasing to the next size.
